Sentient Decision Science is headquartered in the beautiful, historic city of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Founded in 1623, Portsmouth is one of the oldest cities in the nation. But don’t let these cobblestone streets fool you! Portsmouth is home to a booming restaurant scene, including employee favorites like “the decks”, a string of waterfront eateries serving everything from clam chowder to beef carpaccio and top-notch cocktails over the Piscataqua River. A cultural hotbed of visual and performing arts, the city is home to The Music Hall, multiple theaters, galleries and artisan “pop-up” shops.

Across the street from our office is Prescott Park which features more than 10 acres of blooming experimental gardens and a stage that hosts performances of all kinds including their Summer Concert Series and musicals like “Annie” and “Beauty & the Beast”. With the walkable nature of the city, new bike lanes, and access to a municipal dock, our employees have been known to commute into the office on foot, on bicycles and scooters, and even by boat!

Portsmouth’s unique geographic location offers endless opportunities for recreation. Spend the day at the beach, sailing out to the Isles of Shoals, or enjoying a lobster dinner on one of the local piers. Drive an hour north and hike to a waterfall in the White Mountain National Forest, take a ride on the scenic Cog Railway, or ski the East and stay at the breathtaking Omni Mount Washington Hotel. We live where most people vacation, but if you love to travel there are three major airports within 45 minutes, including Boston’s Logan International, so getting anywhere you want to go is a breeze. With the city’s historic past, idyllic location and rich culture, Portsmouth is regularly featured on various “best places to live” lists. We couldn’t agree more!

Directions to Portsmouth Office

From I95N: Take Exit 7 for Market Street towards Portsmouth Downtown and turn right onto Market Street. Stay in the left lane and bear left at the fork in the road on Market Street after the first set of lights. Then at the stop sign, turn right onto Hanover Street. Go straight on Hanover Steet and you will see the Hanover Parking Garage on your left. Turn left onto Fleet Street. Our office is located on the left across from The Green Room restaurant.

Parking

There are several options for parking around the Portsmouth office location. If you are visiting the office for just a few hours, there is the Hanover parking garage next to the office building with an entrance on Fleet Street. Take a ticket and bring it into the office with you to be validated before you leave. If you are going to be staying for a longer period of time, there are metered parking spots on Hanover Steet near our office. Parking is $2.00 per hour with a 4-hour maximum and is a “Pay & Display” system. Other options include free parking along Hancock Street and at the Parrott Ave. Municipal Lot, however, the maximum time limit in the Parrott Ave lot is 72 hours.
