Sentient Decision Science builds scientific technology that quantifies the impact of human emotion on choice, providing more accurate predictions and deeper explanations of behavior in order to increase empathy for the human condition. Sentient Insights is seeking a Senior Insights Director to join our team of researchers, behavioral scientists and technologists in our Portsmouth, NH location. Sentient Insights builds business insights products using the theories, techniques and technologies developed by Sentient Labs. These products are automated and answer recurrent business questions, bringing the benefits of behavioral science to business, at scale.

Position Details

Insights Directors are experts in the use of advanced behavioral science-based research tools to analyze consumer behavior. Insights Directors are responsible for providing customers with evidence-based guidance on go/no go decisions and insights on how to make marketing and product innovation more effective. Insights Directors are central to customer account success, amassing category and customer specific knowledge and inspiring action through evidence-based insights storytelling.

What You’ll Do:

Deliver senior level strategic value to Sentient Insights platform customers
a. Develop and implement talent management processes for Sentient Insights Director and Manager

b. Create internal subject matter expertise through education and knowledge share programs

c. Develop insights storytelling training programs for each Sentient Insights product including hands-on educational training materials for analysis tools and technologies

d. Manage the integration of 3rd party data sources to add strategic partner value for platform clients
Mentor and train Sentient Insights team members

a. Oversee the work of Senior Insights Managers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of product orders to customers

b. Teach evidence-based insights storytelling techniques to Sentient Insights team members

c. Manage training and evaluation processes for Sentient Insights manager roles
Create new industry knowledge through meta-analyses of behavioral science data

a. Envision and execute the development of White Papers and Best Practice reports for the Sentient Insights product platform

b. Run quantitative meta-analyses on attention, emotion, and neural network association data across all Sentient Insights products

c. Improve Sentient Insights product value by translating new knowledge into product features and benefit

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

The Insights Director position is occupied by someone who possesses a broad skill set in the in advanced research and analysis methods. Successful Sentient Insights Directors will be able to create compelling stories of the “why’s” behind marketing and innovation success or failure that is evidence-based and clearly illustrated through graphic representation of the data. Experience mentoring talent is a requirement for the position. Excellent organization and communication skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s level degree in behavioral science, marketing research or business management.
